Last updated: 1 September 2026

These Subscription Terms apply in addition to the General Terms of Use for GOOD Search if you purchase a paid subscription.

1. Provider and requirement

The provider of paid GOOD Search subscriptions is:

Good Search UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Goethestraße 69
79100 Freiburg im Breisgau
Germany
Email: mail@good-search.org
Represented by: Dr Andreas Renner and Kevin Fuchs
Commercial Register: Local Court of Freiburg im Breisgau, HRB 735185

You need a GOOD Search user account to purchase and manage a paid subscription.

2. Plans and scope of service

GOOD Search uses a socially minded, trust-based pricing model. You may choose the subscription plan that best fits your financial circumstances.

Unless otherwise stated on the “Subscribe” page, the different plans provide the same access to GOOD web search. In that case, the plans differ only in price.

In the future, we may offer different services for individual plans. This may include search allowances, rate limits or access to additional features, such as AI-assisted search, chatbots or other new services.

The scope of service, search allowance, additional features, price and billing period applicable to your selected plan are clearly displayed on the “Subscribe” page and immediately before you place your order. This information forms part of your subscription contract.

3. Contract formation

The presentation of plans on the website does not constitute a binding offer to enter into a contract. It is an invitation for you to place an order for a subscription.

By clicking the order button clearly labelled as requiring payment, you make a binding offer to enter into a subscription contract.

The contract is formed when we confirm the subscription by email or activate access to the selected plan.

A subscription is linked to your user account. You may not transfer it to third parties or share it with unauthorised third parties.

4. Prices, payment and invoices

The price, payment method, billing period and scope of service shown for the selected plan at the time of ordering apply. Prices include statutory VAT where applicable.

Payment becomes due when your selected subscription or a plan change takes effect.

Payment processing and invoicing are handled by frisbii Germany GmbH and, depending on the selected payment method, by further payment service providers integrated by frisbii.

You provide payment details, such as credit-card numbers, IBANs or similar payment-method details, directly to frisbii or the relevant payment service provider. GOOD Search does not have access to and does not receive these complete payment details.

We receive only the information needed to manage your subscription and invoice. This may include payment status, a transaction reference, invoice number, invoice amount and required invoicing details.

If you voluntarily request an invoice, or where this is required for the invoice or for business purposes, we process the necessary invoicing details. These may include your name, billing address, company name and tax information that is required.

If you validly withdraw within the withdrawal period, we will refund payments already made in accordance with section 8 of these Subscription Terms.

5. Term, automatic renewal and cancellation

You can purchase GOOD Search as a monthly subscription or an annual subscription. The annual subscription is offered at a discounted price compared with the monthly subscription.

The term, price, billing period and scope of service depend on the plan you select. They are clearly displayed on the “Subscribe” page and immediately before you place your order.

Cancel with no notice period

There is no notice period for cancelling GOOD Search.

You can cancel your monthly or annual subscription at any time through your user account dashboard — including immediately before the start of the next billing period.

Your cancellation prevents the next automatic renewal. It takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Until then, you may continue to use GOOD Search, including the full services of your selected plan.

An ordinary cancellation does not result in a pro-rata refund of amounts already paid. This does not affect your right of withdrawal within 14 days of entering into the contract.

Monthly subscription

A monthly subscription runs for one month at a time. It renews automatically unless you cancel it.

The amount for the next month becomes due at the beginning of the next billing period and is collected through frisbii.

If you cancel, your monthly subscription ends at the end of the month you have already paid for. Until then, you retain full access to the services of your plan.

Annual subscription

An annual subscription runs for twelve months at a time. The annual price, which is lower than the equivalent monthly price, and the billing period are clearly displayed before you place your order.

The annual subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it. The amount for the next billing period becomes due at the beginning of that period and is collected through frisbii.

If you cancel, your annual subscription ends at the end of the year you have already paid for. Until then, you retain full access to the services of your plan.

6. Plan changes: upgrades and downgrades

You may change your plan at any time through your user account dashboard. This includes both upgrading to a higher-priced plan and downgrading to a lower-priced plan.

Upgrade

An upgrade takes effect immediately. From that time, you receive access to the services of the new plan, to the extent that they differ from your previous plan.

Amounts already paid for the current billing period are taken into account and credited when calculating the new plan. Any remaining amount due for the new plan becomes payable when the upgrade takes effect and is collected through frisbii.

Downgrade

A downgrade takes effect only once the billing period already paid for under your previous plan has ended.

Until then, you may continue to use the services of your previous plan. The lower-priced plan applies from the beginning of the next billing period. The amount for the new plan becomes due only at that time and is collected through frisbii.

A downgrade does not result in a pro-rata refund of amounts already paid for the current billing period.

7. Deleting your account

Cancelling a subscription and deleting your user account are two separate actions.

If you cancel your subscription, your user account remains active. You may continue to sign in and use the free features of GOOD Search, where available. Your saved settings remain available.

If you want to delete your user account completely, you can request this by email at mail@good-search.org.

An account can be deleted once your subscription has ended and there are no outstanding payment obligations.

When an account is deleted, we delete the data stored in connection with your account unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate reasons require further retention. We may need to keep invoices and tax-relevant records for legally required retention periods.

Further information can be found in our Privacy Policy.

8. Right of withdrawal for consumers

The following right of withdrawal applies to consumers who live in the European Union or the European Economic Area and purchase a GOOD Search subscription online.

A consumer is a person who purchases the subscription mainly for private purposes and not as part of a self-employed professional or commercial activity.

Right of withdrawal

You may withdraw from your paid subscription within 14 days of entering into the contract, without giving any reason.

To withdraw, it is sufficient to send a clear statement by email to mail@good-search.org. Please include the email address associated with your GOOD Search account or your order number so that we can quickly identify your withdrawal. You do not need to give a reason.

You do not need to cancel through the dashboard for your withdrawal to be effective. You may additionally cancel your subscription there if you wish. Your withdrawal remains effective even if you do not cancel through the dashboard.

Example email:

I hereby withdraw from my GOOD Search subscription.
My user account is registered under: name@example.com.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw within the withdrawal period, we will end your subscription and refund all amounts already paid for the subscription in full.

We will issue the refund within 14 days after receiving your withdrawal. We will normally use the same payment method you used for payment. You will not incur any additional costs.

Access to the paid GOOD Search services ends when the refund is issued.

Withdrawing does not automatically delete your user account. If you also want to delete your account, you may request this by email in accordance with section 7.

9. Availability, changes and updates

We aim to provide GOOD Search with a high level of availability. However, there is no entitlement to uninterrupted or error-free use at all times.

Maintenance, security measures, technical faults, capacity constraints or events beyond our control may lead to restrictions.

We may further develop GOOD Search and change, add or discontinue features where necessary for legal, technical, security-related or economic reasons.

During an active paid subscription, we will not make changes that substantially worsen the agreed use of the service, unless the change is necessary for security, legal compliance or maintaining conformity with the contract. In such cases, we will notify you in good time. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

We will provide necessary updates, including security updates, during an active paid subscription. Your statutory rights in the event of defects in digital products remain unaffected.

10. Liability

We are liable without limitation in cases of intent and gross negligence, and for damages arising from injury to life, body or health.

In the event of a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, we are liable only for the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Essential contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment is necessary for the proper performance of the contract and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely.

In all other cases, our liability for slight negligence is excluded. Statutory claims, in particular under product-liability law, remain unaffected.

11. Privacy

Information on how we process personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Subscription Terms

We may amend these Subscription Terms with effect for the future where there is an objective reason to do so. This may include changes in the law, security requirements, technical developments, changes to our service offering or the need to close gaps in these Terms.

For active paid subscriptions, we will notify you in text form and in good time of material changes. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

13. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

If you are a consumer and have your habitual residence in another country, any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of that country remain unaffected.

If any provision of these Subscription Terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
